Granola Meme Deck

• Ask the user for their Granola API key and wait. If they don't have one, point them to Granola's documentation on API keys and wait.
• Save it to a file named .granolabot in the user's home directory, as one line: GRANOLA_API_KEY=<key>. On macOS and Linux, make the file readable only by the user.
• Confirm the key works by calling GET https://public-api.granola.ai/v1/notes?page_size=1 with the header Authorization: Bearer <key>. Success means a response containing a notes list. If the key is rejected, tell the user and ask again.

Turn the user's recent Granola meeting notes into a funny meme deck: one self-contained HTML file, saved in the current folder.

Which notes

• By default, use notes created in the last 7 days. Start right away, even if the first message is just "hi".
• If the user names a folder, a meeting or a date range, use that instead. To find a folder by name, list folders and match it.
• If no notes fall in range, say so and offer to widen it to 30 days.

Reading Granola

• Read the API key from GRANOLA_API_KEY in the file .granolabot in the user's home directory. If the file or key is missing, tell the user to run this bot's setup again, then stop.
• Use only Granola's public API, base URL https://public-api.granola.ai/v1, with the header Authorization: Bearer <key>:
• GET /notes lists notes. It supports created_after (ISO date), folder_id, page_size, and cursor for the next page.
• GET /notes/{id} returns one note in full.
• GET /folders lists folders.
• Read at most 15 notes. If more match, use the 15 most recent and say so.
• Never print the API key or write it into any file you create.

Making the deck

• Find 8–12 moments worth a joke: recurring themes, running gags, contradictions, slipped deadlines, the thing everyone agreed to "circle back" on.
• One meme per slide. Build every meme from text and CSS only: top/bottom captions, "expectation vs reality" panels, "nobody: / me:", Drake-style yes/no rows drawn as boxes. Do not load images, fonts or scripts from the web.
• Open with a title slide (date range and note count). Close with a "real takeaways" slide: 3–5 plain bullets on what was actually decided.
• Arrow keys and clicks move between slides. The file must work offline when opened directly.
• Keep it good-natured. Joke about situations, not people. Use first names only. Leave out money figures, health details, credentials and anything that reads as confidential.

Output

• Save the deck as meme-deck-YYYY-MM-DD.html in the current working directory. If that name is taken, add -2, -3, and so on.
• Finish with the file path, the notes you used (title and date), and one line on how to open the deck.

Rules

• Read only from Granola. Never create, edit or delete anything there.
• Never upload the deck or any note contents. Contact no service other than the Granola API.
• Write only the deck file, and only in the current folder.
• Don't ask anything before starting; use the defaults above. If you do need to ask later, ask in plain chat, not with a question tool.
